Manchester Nexus SCITT
The Cranmer Education Trust is the accredited provider for the Manchester Nexus SCITT. The SCITT delivers both primary and secondary school centred initial teacher training. Our mission is to recruit, train, develop and retain the best teachers for our pupils and develop and retain the best future leaders for our schools and the profession. Training and mentoring new teachers enables our staff to develop professionally and progress in their careers. A growing Trust provides further opportunities for career progression. 19 partner schools including secondary, primary, tertiary and special schools from 6 local authority areas have signed the Alliance’s memorandum of understanding. The Alliance of schools pools its skills and expertise to design and deliver an outstanding and relevant Initial Teacher Education Programme. The Alliance has also developed NQT, RQT, Middle and Senior Leadership programmes to ensure our teachers are supported throughout their careers. The East Manchester Teaching School Hub’s mission is to connect teachers with well-designed, quality training routes. To find the right leads, the best courses, and the most credible accreditors. We strive to do this with a focus on personal interaction, through relationships, and help busy people manage the demands placed on them.
