St Anne’s Church of England Academy

St Anne’s Church of England Academy joined the Cranmer Education Trust on 1st March 2021. In joining the Cranmer Education Trust, St Anne’s is able to remain true to its vision.

This is the best thing for our young people, our staff and our community and it will help us get the best from everyone as we improve and can share what we have learned.  Our faith in our future will be achieved through partnership, openness and generosity.  Our vision is central to everything that we have achieved and will be central to everything we continue to do.

The Cranmer Education Trust shares St Anne’s faith commitment.  Our existing secondary school, the outstanding Blue Coat School in Oldham, and its new school, The Brian Clarke Church of England Academy (opening September 2022) are both designated Church of England Schools, like St Anne’s. Together we can strengthen Church of England education in our communities across North East Manchester.

Since the summer of 2019, St Anne’s has benefited from the support of the Cranmer Education Trust, building relationships and trust. Our education expertise, leadership, finance, operations, IT and capital/estates staff have worked with St Anne’s to help improve their teaching and learning and school systems. St Anne’s are continuing their improvement journey as part of the Trust.

St Anne’s CE Academy welcomed a full Ofsted inspection (Dec 21) which reflected clearly and positively the journey that the school has been on and the high-quality provision it now offers. Ofsted reports are very factual; they describe what inspectors see, hear and experience in their time in the school. We are really pleased by the strengths and quality that they have recorded, which confirms that we
are on the way to what our vision says we want to be:

“The best for everyone;
The best from everyone;
We have faith in our future”

This is our future:  St Anne’s will be an outward facing school that really serves the community – the church school of choice for families. Children should not have to commute out of district to get an excellent Church of England education. St Anne’s are going to be open, to work collaboratively, to build partnerships, to listen and to share.
